D1. Relevant stakeholders

The provincial Departments (DAEs) are responsible within their respective localities, i.e. national and provincial levels respectively, for developing forest protection and development plans, and for ensuring the identification and participation of relevant stakeholders in forest sector processes. DAEs are also responsible for the development of land use plans, and for appraisal of social and environmental assessments, including the engagement of relevant stakeholders.
